The mapping group determines the type of mapping coordinates used. Different kinds of mapping are distinguished by how the map is geometrically projected onto the object and how the projection interacts with the object's surfaces. The mapping group is used in the method Mesh::ApplyUVWMap().

There mapping types can be modified to achieve the different projection types that the user can access by providing different values for the other parameters of the Mesh::ApplyUVWMap() method.
