You
can turn on or off the display for a sculpt layer to avoid accidentally
modifying that layer or to see how the model appears without the
sculpted features on that layer.
Click the solid circular dot icon in
the Visible column (below the eye
icon) that appears beside the layer you want to turn off.
The dot displays as a
hollow circle whenever the layer is not visible.
Click the dot a second time to turn on
the visibility for that layer.
NoteIf Mudbox displays
a red warning symbol beside the sculpt layer name, it indicates
that the sculpt layer is currently locked. This occurs when the
current subdivision level doesn’t match the level the sculpt layer was
created on. You must use the Page Up or Page
Down keys to display the correct subdivision level before
the warning symbol disappears and you can sculpt on that layer.
