Adding a Shadow to the Front Clip
 
 
 

You can add a shadow to the front clip. You can move, scale, rotate, and skew the shadow. You can also set the shadow's colour, softness, and transparency.

To add a shadow:

  1. In the Rendering section of the Compositor menu, enable Shadow.

  2. Click Animation to display the Channel Editor.
  3. In the Object folder, open the Shadow folder.

  4. The shadow is located directly under the image. Select the X or Y translate channel or click the Rotate button and drag the cursor in the image window to move the shadow into view.
  5. Select another channel.
    Select: To:
    Transparency channel Change the shadow's transparency.
    Softness channel Change the shadow's softness.
    R, G, or B channel in the Colour folder Change the shadow's colour.
    X or Y channel in the Translate folder Change the shadow's position.
    Rotate channel Rotate the shadow.
    X or Y channel in the Scale folder Scale the shadow.
    X or Y channel in the Shear folder Skew the shadow.
  6. Use the other channels to create a shadow effect. You can work with the shadow in the image window or enter the values in the Channel Editor.
