This release introduces
the following new or enhanced tools to help you create complex effects
more easily:
- Matte Edge (formerly Edge): Multiple
enhancements are introduced, including controls over the Width and
Softness of the Inner and Outer edges, a Matte Luminance Curve,
and settings to add Noise to the edges. See
Matte Edge.
- Glow: Enhancements include new Directional
and Radial types (with the possibility to track the Radial Centre),
fixes to the Auto Matte behaviour, two definable Glow colours, and
extensive Blending options. A number of Glow presets are available
to help you get started. See
Glow.
- Blur (formerly RGB Blur): Enhancements
include the possibility to track the Radial Centre, and Chroma and
Luma blur. See
Blur.
- Gradient: A new Gradient tool featuring
user-definable colour and alpha ramps with animation support. You
can select from four types of keyframeable gradient objects: Directional,
Radial, Spline, and Multi-Point. See
Gradient.
- 3D Blur: The 3D Blur
Batch node had been updated to include Gaussian and Defocus blurs,
as well as overall performance improvements. The 3D Blur menu has
also been updated to improve its usability. See
3D Blur Node.
- Motion Convert (formerly
Vector Viewer): This updated Batch node now allows you to convert
normalized 2D vectors from a 3D application into absolute vectors
that you can work with in Flame. See
Motion Convert Node.
- Motion Blur: The Motion
Blur Batch node now allows you to blur using past and future frames,
or the current frame only.
- The Combine and Mono tools now allow
YUV and HLS colour space inputs in addition to RGB.
