Duplicate objects

  1. Select an object.
  2. Select Edit > Duplicate.

The duplicated object appears on top of the original object. Press H to use the transform handle to move it away.

NoteIf you plan to re-import a model you’ve duplicated, use the Organizer to first delete its duplicate geometry.

Multiple duplications with transformation (Smart Duplicate)

  1. Select an object.
  2. Select Edit > Duplicate.

The first duplicated object appears on top of the original object. Press H to use the transform handle to alter the position, rotation, or scale of the duplicate.

  3. Select Edit > Duplicate again. The object will be duplicated a second time and the previous transform repeated on the second duplicate.

Repeating duplications with transformations is an easy way to equally space copies of an object, or create patterns of objects in the scene.
