Adjust user settings

Use the User Settings window to customize the way you work with Showcase. Many of the controls found here are also available from the Showcase Options menu or elsewhere in Showcase.

Default Unit Settings
These work the same as described in Adjust scene settings. Changes made in the Scene Settings window override settings in the User Settings window for the current scene.
UI Settings
Use these to show or hide the Task UI and main menu; see About the Showcase Task UI.
Locator Grips
Use these controls to show or hide accent light, decal, and cross-section grips as needed. These controls are also found in the Options menu. Changes made here are reflected in the Options menu, and vice versa, and they are global; in other words, they remain in place until you change them again, even if you open a different scene.
Selection Style
This controls how a selected object is highlighted. Like the Locator Grips, changes to this setting are reflected in the Options menu and are global. See Select objects.
Heads-up Display
The heads-up display provides you with instructions and information to help you use Showcase. Changes to these settings are reflected in the Options menu and are global.
Background Color
Sets the color to use behind the scene environment.
Walk Zone
Use these as described in Generate a walk zone.
