To hide/show groups of objects using the Organizer:

The Organizer lets you place objects into groups (folders) so that you can hide or show them more easily without needing to select them every time. This is useful for keeping objects together in groups as you edit a scene.

To use the Organizer, select Edit > Organizer (or press the O key).

See Use the Organizer.

To hide/show object alternatives:

Alternatives let you compare and contrast variations for parts of your scene. An alternative lineup is a collection of one or more alternatives. For example, your scene could contain a lineup for various hubcap alternatives, another lineup for various color studies, and so on.
