Organize storyboard slides

Select slides

Unless no slides exist yet, one slide is always marked as the ‘current’ slide, indicated by a checkmark in the lower left corner of the slide. A storyboard has only one current slide at a time. To select the slide (which also marks it as current), click the slide.

Note

In Presentation Mode, clicking a slide makes it current and also plays the slide.

Rearrange slides

You can rearrange slides only in Authoring Mode.

Drag the slide you want to move to the new location.

Rename a slide

You can rename slides only in Authoring Mode.

To give a slide a more intuitive name:

  1. Double click the slide name at the bottom of the slide.
  2. Type the name.
  3. Press the Enter key.

You can also right-click the slide and select Rename from the menu that appears.

Change the duration of a slide

To change the duration of a slide:

  1. Double click the duration indicator at the bottom of the slide.
  2. Type the new duration in seconds.
  3. Press the Enter key.

You can also right-click the slide and select Change duration from the menu that appears, or change the duration in the Slide Properties window.

You can create snapshot icons only in Authoring Mode.

To make it easy to see what’s in a slide:

An icon is created for the slide using a snapshot of the current screen.
