Erase paint

 
 
 

TipRemove your most recent paint stroke by immediately selecting Edit > Undo (Hotkey: Ctrl + Z).

To erase paint from a paint layer

  1. In the Paint Layers window, select the layer with paint you want to erase.
  2. In the Paint Tools tray, select the Paint Erase tool.
  3. Stroke across the paint that you want to erase.

    Paint is erased in the areas you stroke. Adjust the Radius, Strength, and Falloff for the Paint Erase tool as necessary.

To clear all paint from a paint layer

  1. Do either of the following:
    • Select the paint layer and click > Clear Selected (from the window menu button).
    • Right-click the layer and select Clear Selected from the menu that appears.

    This removes all paint from the layer, but keeps the layer in the stack so you can start painting again immediately.
