To delete a single model

  1. Do either of the following:
    • Right-click the model in the scene or in the Object List, then select Delete Object from the menu that appears.
    • Select the model using the Select Objects tool (from the Select/Move Tools tray) and press Delete.

    Mudbox deletes the selected (or active) model.

To delete multiple models

  1. Do either of the following to select all objects you want to delete:
    • From the Select/Move Tools tray, click the Objects tool , then click to select all objects you want to delete from the scene.
    • In the Object List, Shift+click or Ctrl+click all objects you want.
  2. Do either of the following:
    • Press Delete.
    • Right-click any selected model and select Delete Object from the menu that appears.

      All selected objects are deleted from the scene.

To delete faces

NoteYou can only delete faces when the mesh has a single level with no sculpt layers. You must delete any higher subdivision levels before attempting to delete faces from the base level. To do this, display the lowest subdivision level, then select Mesh > Delete Highest Level until you have only the base level.
  1. Select the Faces tool on the Select/Move Tools tray.
  2. Select faces on the mesh you want to delete.
  3. Press Delete or select Edit > Delete Selected.
TipYou can set whether selected faces display with a soft falloff using the Render Selected preference (in the Render preferences section of the Preferences window).
