Creating Scene Browser configurations

 
 
 

The Scene Browser lists all the assets in your scene, organized by type.

To create Scene Browser configurations:

  1. In the Scene Browser, click the Filters button.

    The Scene Browser Filters dialog box appears.

  2. Click Add.

    In the Configurations pane, a new configuration is added with the default name New_Config.

  3. Rename the default name by typing a new name.

    In the Filters pane, by default, all assets are selected for adding to a new configuration.

  4. Click an asset you want to include in the new configuration. You can Ctrl-click or Shift-click to select additional assets.

  5. Activate the Locked option to lock the Scene Browser configuration and prevent it from being changed accidentally.
  6. Click Ok to filter the Navigator and display only your chosen assets.

    The name of the new Scene Browser configuration displays in the title bar of the Navigator window. If the Navigator displays within a tabbed window, a tab displays the name of the Scene Browser configuration. For example, the following figure shows the Navigator using a configuration named Cameras and Lights.

To rename Scene Browser configurations:

  1. In the Scene Browser, click the Filters button.

    The Scene Browser Filters dialog box appears. See Scene browser Filters dialog box.

  2. In the Configurations pane, double-click the Scene Browser configuration you want to rename, type a new name in the field, and press Enter.

To delete a Scene Browser configuration:

  1. In the Scene Browser, click the Filters button.
  2. Select the configuration you want to delete in the Configurations pane.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. In the Delete configuration dialog box that appears, click Ok.
