Selection options

Highlight Backfaces
When enabled, backfacing components are highlighted for preselection and are selectable. When this option is disabled, backfacing components are still selectable, but they are not highlighted for preselection.
Preview Loop/Ring
When enabled, displays a live preview of the components that will be included in the loop/ring selection.

To preview a loop/ring, select a component and move the cursor over an adjacent component along the same path while holding shift. See Loop and ring selection.

NotePreview Loop/Ring is only available when a selection mode is active.

Symmetry
Activates symmetry mode. See Enable symmetry.

Selection constraints

Selection constraints give you greater control over your selection. You can select from the following options:

Angle
Expands the selection to neighboring polygons that have an angle less than or equal to the value in the angle field.
Border
Restricts your selection to only border lying components. When you select or deselect a single border component, all connected border components are also selected or deselected.
Shell
Automatically expands the selection to all contiguous components.
