Remove assembly representations

You can remove representations from an assembly definition node if a production asset is no longer being used in scene or layout.

Removing a Cache representation or Scene representation from an assembly definition node does not affect the representation source files, so they can always be added back to the definition later.

To remove a representation

  1. Open the scene file containing the assembly definition from which you want to remove a representation.
  2. In the Outliner, select the assemblyDefinition node.
  3. In the Assembly Representations section of the Attribute Editor, select the representation you want to delete from the Representation List.
  4. In the Representation Attributes section, click the remove icon.

The deleted representation is removed from the Representation List. The representation no longer appears in the Outliner and scene view Scene Assembly menus.
