This section lists the bug fixes associated with this version of the Maya FBX plug-in.

''rootNode' Node problems

Nodes named "rootNode" now import correctly. Previously naming conflicts prevented nodes with this name from being read by the FBX Importer.

MotionBuilder custom property import

Problems where the FBX plug-in did not import animation on MotionBuilder custom properties have been resolved.

Tangents and Binormal Export

An issue with the export of normal/binormals on non-triangulated meshes has been resolved.

NoteThere is a known limitation with tangents and binormals. See Tangents and Binormals in the Limitations section.

Instability on Export

You can now export Maya files with the Referenced Asset Content option disabled. Previously, this caused instability in Maya.

Lengthy import of large files

An issue where files with millions of polygons and multiple materials took a long time to import into Maya has been resolved.
