Appendix E, Using the Help
Using the Index

The Index contains keyword entries followed by links to the topics where the entry is discussed. To help you find answers quickly, each index entry can show you the title of the topic where the index entry exists.

To find a topic using the Index:
  1. Click Index at the top of the Navigation frame.

The buttons for the alphabet and the index entries for the letter A appear. To switch letters, click the button for another letter or # for numbers and symbols.

  2. Each index link is followed by a target icon. You can point the mouse cursor at the target icon (without clicking) to display the title of the topic where the index entry exists.

Hint: Looking at the target title is useful because it gives you extra information before you decide to click the link.

  3. To display a topic, click the link for the index entry.

Entries that appear in more than one topic have additional numbered links after the first entry. Click a numbered link (or its target icon) to display one of these entries.
