To remove a soft effect temporarily from
the vertical edit, mute it. To put the soft effect back into the
vertical edit, simply un-mute it. Muted soft effects are indicated
by black LEDs on the soft effect button.

NoteIf you mute a Timewarp soft effect, only
mix and trail values are muted. You cannot mute timing effects with
               the mute button.

         To mute a soft effect:

            - Select the element that has the soft
               effect you want to mute.

- Click the blue LED on the soft effect
               button.
The LED on the soft effect
button and the soft effect indicator on the timeline turn black.
The soft effect is temporarily removed from the vertical edit.

To enable a muted soft effect:

            - Select the element that has the muted
               soft effect.

- Click the black LED.
               The LED turns blue, and
the soft effect is reapplied to the vertical edit.

NoteFrom the EditDesk record timeline, you can
also toggle Alt plus the corresponding hotkey number to cycle between
muting and reenabling a soft effect.
