You can use the Archive menu to:

• Select an archiving device.
• Format an archive.
• Open an archive to save or restore clips or setups.

To access the Archive menu:

1. In the Main menu, click Library.
2. In the Library menu, click Archive.

Archive Device boxLists all available types of archive device. If the device type you want to use is not listed, uncomment the appropriate line in the software initialization configuration file in the CLIPMGTDEVICE KEYWORD section. See the Autodesk Visual Effects and Finishing Configuration File Reference Guide.

Device Name boxLists all archive devices of the type specified in the Archive Device box. This box is displayed for VTR and Tape devices other than DST. It is not displayed when only one device of a given type can be specified in the software initialization configuration file.

Size Estimate buttonClick to get an approximate size of entries to be archived. The resulting value appears in the Size Estimate field.
