When working with Dolby
E encoded audio tracks in Flame you must take into account
the following considerations:
- A Dolby E audio stream must not be altered
in any way during capture, output, or in the timeline. For example,
there can be no gain, EQ, phase, or soft-effects applied to the
encoded audio tracks.
- There can be no gaps between Dolby E
encoded audio segments.
- Sub-frame editing is not possible.
- Scrubbing of Dolby E-encoded audio is
only possible at normal playback speed.
- When working with a mix of Dolby E tracks
and standard audio tracks, you must ensure that the microfades between
the audio segments in standard audio tracks are set to 10 microseconds
or less. This will avoid transition pops from occurring in the standard
audio tracks without breaking the Dolby E stream.
- The Dolby E DP-571 Encoder and DP-572
Decoder each have a 1-frame audio delay between input and output.
Therefore, editing of the Dolby E stream must be done accordingly.
