Most menu buttons and operations have a hot key equivalent. Smoke employs a robust hot keys arrangement, including a Hot Key Editor that allows you to customize existing hot keys and create new ones. See Managing Hot Keys.
The Ctrl and Alt keys on the right side of the keyboard are used for marking in and out points, respectively. The left Ctrl and Alt keys are used for all other hot key combinations.
The right arrow and left arrow hot keys allow you to navigate through clips in the Source Area, Record Area, and players. In the Source Area, you can navigate through clips using these hot keys even when you are selecting clips with the arrow cursor. See The Cursors.
