Pasting Text from an External Source

You can copy text from a Linux terminal or another application and paste it directly in a text layer.

To paste text from a terminal to the Text module:

  1. In the Text module, create a layer for the text you want to paste.
  2. Click the Font field and select a non-Latin font.

NoteA non-Latin font must be selected to display the non-Latin characters.
  3. In the terminal, copy text including non-Latin text.
  4. In the Text module, paste the text in a text layer.
NoteNon-Latin characters do not appear in the Channel Editor—the generic <CHAR> name appears instead.
