Most TrueType,
CID, and OpenType fonts that you use on a Windows or Macintosh system
can be copied to the Linux system for use with Backdraft Conform.
NoteTrueType Collection
(.ttc) fonts are not supported directly. These must be converted
to (non-compressed) TrueType font (.ttf) files. Their conversion is
beyond the scope of this document.
To install other supported fonts:
Using an FTP or other file transfer utility,
copy the fonts from the Windows or Macintosh system to the Linux
system.
In the transfer utility, set the transfer
format to binary mode.
NoteIn Mac OS 9 (and
earlier) TCP programs, select the MacBinary option.
In OS X, you will need to install a utility, such as BinJuggler,
to encode the files before transferring.
Log in to your Linux system as root.
If necessary, in a terminal, copy the
fonts to the directory of your choice.
The next time you start Backdraft Conform, you
can load and select the fonts.
