Use the Dissolve Editor to animate the blending effect of a dissolve over time. Curves in the Dissolve Editor are Hermite or Linear—as set in the Transitions section of the Preferences menu. The Dissolve Editor is only available for video dissolves.

To display the Dissolve Editor:

1. Select a dissolve.
2. Click E beside the Dissolve button, or double-click the dissolve icon.
3. Modify the dissolve curve in the Dissolve Editor to create a complex blending effect that changes over time. For information on using the Dissolve Editor, see Animation.
