Set the following transition attribute preferences.

Length fieldSet the default length for dissolve and wipe transitions.

Transition Alignment boxSet the default alignment for dissolves, wipes, axis, and custom transitions to Centred, From Cut, or Up To Cut.

Transition Interpolation boxSet the default interpolation for transition curves to either Hermite or Linear.
