NoteThe X keyboard shortcut
is designed to transform the currently selected item(s) by default.
When a model is not selected, the hotkey transforms whatever item
is located under the tool cursor in the 3D View.
When one item consistently transforms in the 3D
View, despite the location of the tool cursor, it indicates
that it is selected. Clicking an empty region of the 3D View or
pressing Ctrl + D ensures that any current
selection is cancelled.
