You
can invert the colors in a texture image using the Invert tool.
NoteThe Invert tool
only work on the active paint layer. That is, it does not have any
effect on the underlying shading material color.
- Click the Layers tab
to display the Layers window, and set the
layer display to Paint.
- In the Layers window,
select the paint layer you want to invert areas of painted color.
- In the Paint Tools tray,
select the Invert tool.
- Stroke across the painted texture in
the areas you want to invert the color.
The paint within the
region of the brush ring is modified to be the inverse color hue
and color value in the areas that you stroke. No buildup of the invert
effect occurs. That is, stroking successively on the same region
simply inverts what you have already inverted.
NoteHigher bit depth
image layers (16 bit and greater) are recommended to reduce any
edge effects that might occur along the edges of the inverted color
area.
