Effects

At any time during your work session, you can use the effects tools to perform any creative or image-processing work. Smoke provides an array of sophisticated visual effects and compositing tools.

Visual effects include:

• Using A/V Tools to prepare clips for finishing. See A/V Tools.
• Colour-correcting and colour-matching clips using the Colour Corrector. See Colour Corrector.
• Creating artistic colour effects and performing advanced colour correction using the Colour Warper. See Colour Warper.
• Performing basic keying functions. See Keyer.
• Using garbage masks, supported by the Keyer. See Garbage Masks.
• Removing motion jitter ,or unwanted camera movement, and tracking reference points in your clips. See Tracking and Stabilizing.
• Using a high-powered, 3D, multilayer compositing tool for creating complex visual effects. You can use Action to animate clips in 3D and add camera, lighting, and shadow effects. The Action section begins with Action: Basics.
• Retouching clips or creating graphics, textures, and displacement sources using the comprehensive Paint tools. The Paint section begins with Paint: Basics.
