The following describes known limitations related to the user interface.

Application freezes when switching from paint to sculpt tool (Mac OS X)

Switching from a texture painting tool to a sculpting tool can cause the Mudbox application to freeze when the computer’s screen resolution is 1200 pixels in height and the Dock is located at the side of the screen. This situation appears to occur immediately after the creation of new preferences.

Workaround: When running Mudbox for the first time (or immediately after deleting the Mudbox preferences) when the described situation has occurred on a Mac OS X version, adjust the vertical height of the divider that separates the Properties and Layers/Object List panels by a minimum of one pixel. This issue will not re-occur unless the preferences are deleted.

Mudbox remains in front of other applications when switching between applications on Mac OS X

Switching to another software application when running Mudbox and the tool cursor is positioned over any tool tray will result in Mudbox remaining in front of the other applications preventing use of those applications.

Workaround: Move the tool cursor away from the tool tray region prior to switching to others application when using Mudbox on Mac OS X.
