To avoid having to manually enter a long expression based on the input of an attribute, you can right-click on that attribute's value field either in the tool UI or Composition Browser and select Copy Path, then use Ctrl + V (Windows and Linux) or Cmd + V (Mac OS) to paste the path into the Expresso Calculator.
