You
can set animation layer modes as you create the layer, or you can
change the modes using the pop-up menu or the layer node.
To set an animation layer to Additive mode
- Do one of the following:
To set an animation layer to Override mode
- Do one of the following:
- -click
the animation layer and select Layer Mode > Override from the
pop-up menu.

Select an animation layer node and
set the Override attribute to on.
The layer name displays
in bold to indicate it is in Override mode.
The animation in this layer now overrides animation affecting the
same attributes on layers above it in the stack.
To set an Override animation layer to
Passthrough mode
- Do one of the following:
- -click
an animation layer that is currently in Override mode,
and select Layer Mode > Passthrough.

Select an animation layer node and
set the Passthrough attribute to on.
The animation layer is
now in Override-Passthrough mode and you can adjust its opacity.

To set the layer Accumulation modes
- Do one of the following:
- If you have not yet created the layer,
you can pre-set the Rotation Accumulation and Scale Accumulation
modes it will use by selecting Layers > Create Layer
Options in the Animation Layer Editor menu
bar.
- If you have created a layer and want
to change the Accumulation options, -click
and select Scale Accumulation or Rotation
Accumulation, then set the modes you want to use.
