Move and re-order shots in a sequence

When multiple shots overlap in different tracks, the uppermost shot is used during scene evaluation.

To move shots

  1. Do one of the following in the Camera Sequencer:
    • Select and drag shots to move them in sequence time.
    • Double-click the start and end times on a shot to manually edit them. You can also drag in the Sequence Start or Sequence End fields to change their values. (Dragging on the sequence time scales the shot to fit without altering the Maya time for the shot.)
NoteSequence times are intended to be integers. In cases where the shot scale would create a non-integer duration, the scale value is altered slightly to ensure integer duration.

The lower two numbers displayed on a shot represent the sequence start and end times. The upper two numbers represent the Maya start and end times for the shot.

Clips stay in sync when you move the associated shot.

To move a shot in Maya time

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Shift-drag within the shot to move it in Maya time only.
