Derived from mel command maya.cmds.smoothCurve

Example:

import pymel.core as pm

#Create a curve, then smooth it
pm.curve(p=[(0, 0, 0), (3, 5, 6), (5, 6, 7), (9, 9, 9)], n='curve1')
# Result: nt.Transform(u'curve1') #
pm.smoothCurve('curve1.cv[*]', s=10)
# Result: [nt.Transform(u'curve1')] #
