Organize containers in the Channel Box
 
 
 

You can organize how the Channel Box displays your containers using the Show menu. You can change the order of internal nodes and container nodes as well as filter which published attributes are displayed in the Channel Box. You can also control the types of attributes that are displayed in the Channel Box (for more information, see Organizing the Channel Box).

To display published attributes for selected objects only

  1. Select the objects whose published attributes you want to see.
  2. Select Show > Containers > Selected object attributes from the Channel Box menu.

    The container display in the Channel Box reduces to show only the published attributes from the selected objects. These attributes are displayed in the order specified by the current view (for more information see Add a view to a container template). If you select a different object in the scene, the Channel Box will update accordingly.

To change the order that containers are displayed in the Channel Box

  1. Select Show > Containers > Show at top.

    If Show at top is on, a container encapsulating a selected object always appears at the top of the Channel Box.

    If Show at top is off, the container appears in the Outputs section of the Channel Box.

To change the order of nodes beneath the container in the Channel Box

  1. Open the Outliner ( Window > Outliner).
  2. Expand a container.
  3. -drag the nodes underneath the container into the desired order.

    The nodes in the Channel Box rearrange to match their order in the Outliner.
