Create simple motion capture

To create a simple motion capture sequence

1. Create a target geometry in Maya.
2. Attach the geometry to the motion capture device. See Create attachments.
3. Rehearse the motion for the actions that will be performed.
4. Record the motion. See Record motion data.
5. Review the recorded motion and insert it into your scene.

   You can use the options in the Device Editor’s Control tab to review your motion take.

6. To insert the motion data into your scene, select File > Import and select your motion data file (.mov) from the file browser that appears.
