You
can hide all unpublished information in a container with the Black
Box option. When a container is in Black
Box mode:
Only
published roots, parent anchors, child anchors and other containers appear
when the container is expanded in any editor.
Unpublished
nodes encapsulated by the container are not shown in the DAG hierarchy.
Unpublished
nodes are removed from the Channel Box and Attribute
Editor.
Unpublished
nodes become un-selectable in the scene. Trying to select an unpublished
node from the container instead selects whatever container-centric
selection would select.
Pick-walking
only selects published nodes.
Black
Box containers cannot be expanded in the Hypergraph.
Using
the Select Container Contents option
only selects published nodes.
To
set a container as a Black Box
Select
a container in your scene.
Open
the Attribute Editor.
In
the Container Attributes section,
turn on Black Box.
NoteWhen working in Black Box mode, it is recommended
that you set the Outliner’s Container
Contents (Display > Container Contents)
display to Under Parent.
