Click the Web Updates option in the Help menu to make sure that you are using the latest version of the Maya FBX Plug-in.
This function searches the Autodesk web site for a newer version of the plug-in you are currently using.
If you have the latest version, the following message appears:
If you need to update to a newer version of the Maya FBX Plug-in, a window appears to inform you.
