Embedded Texture folder

In previous versions of the 3ds Max FBX Plug-in, when you imported an FBX file with embedded media, the embedded files were extracted to a folder in the same location as the FBX file.

If you did not have write permission to create that new folder, the media files were not imported. This lack of write permission can occur when you work over a network. Now, instead of not importing the media files, they are extracted directly to a Temp folder.

The Embedded Texture Folder option lets you define the directory to which these media files are extracted. If you do not have write permissions for creating this directory, the media files are sent to the Temp folder instead. See Embed media for more.
