All keypoint tools are located in the Keypoint Curve Toolbox. Choose Curves > Keypoint Curve Toolbox to open it as an extra floating palette. The workflows below refer to the location of the tools from that toolbox.
If you click the endpoint of an existing keypoint curve, the new line attaches itself to the end of the existing curve. Dragging the common endpoint moves both curves.
As you drag the end point, the Line tool displays the length of the line in current linear units.
Draw a series of connected lines (polyline)
If you click the endpoint of an existing keypoint curve, the new line attaches itself to the end of the existing curve to create a composite curve.
As you drag the end point, the Polyline tool displays the length of the line in current linear units.
Draw alternating lines and arcs
If you click the endpoint of an existing keypoint curve, the new line attaches itself to the end of the existing curve. Dragging the common endpoint moves both curves.
As you drag the end point, the Line-arc tool displays the length of the line in current linear units.
As you drag the end point, the Line-arc tool displays the radius of the arc in current linear units.
To get concave arcs, you must go back and edit the curve after creating it. See Edit keypoint curves.
For example, click the endpoint of a line segment twice to make the next segment a line also. Click the endpoint of an arc segment twice to make the next segment an arc.
If you click the endpoint of an existing keypoint curve, the new arc attaches itself to the end of that curve. Dragging the common endpoint moves both curves.
As you drag the end point, the Arc (Three Point) tool displays the radius of the arc in current linear units.
If you click the endpoint of an existing keypoint curve, the new arc attaches itself to the end of that curve. Dragging the common endpoint moves both curves.
As you drag the center point, the Arc (Two Point) tool displays the radius of the arc in current linear units.
I want to edit the coordinates or length after I create a line?
Choose Windows > Information > Information Window and change the parallel distance or angle.
The relationships between keypoint curves are maintained until you manually reshape one of the curves.
I want to draw arc segments at a different angle to the last line segment?
Arc segments always project “forward” from the previous line. You cannot create concave arcs with the Line-arc tool.
To get concave arcs, you must go back and edit the curve after creating it.
I want to export keypoint curves to IGES?
