Use the following mouse and keyboard actions, conventions, and button mappings in most or all tools.
Mouse buttons
Creation, transformation, and editing tools use the same mouse buttons for similar functions:

Note
If you are using single key hotkeys, you must press or click the prompt line before you can type tool input.
- To enter relative positioning mode, type an r before the 3D coordinate.
- To enter absolute positioning mode, type an a before the 3D coordinate.
- Separate coordinate numbers with commas or spaces.
- With most tools you can also use the arrow keys to “nudge” the object by very small amounts.
- With most transformation tools you can also use the arrow keys to “nudge” the object by very small amounts.
Pick while using a non-pick tool
In most tools, you can temporarily switch to picking geometry. While you hold , mouse clicks pick and unpick geometry.
