Layers
allow you to organize related objects into groups that you can pick,
display, and edit individually or together.
Move objects into a layer
- Pick the objects you want to assign to
a layer.
- Click on the layer’s button in the Layer
Bar and choose Assign from the pop-up menu.
Create a new layer
- Choose Layers > New
.
NoteWhen the number of
layers causes the Layer Bar to become longer than the window, a
button with two small arrowheads appears on the right end. Click
the button and drag left or right to scroll the Layer Bar.
Rename a layer
- Double-click the name of the layer in
the Layer Bar.
NoteIf a layer’s name is too long to fit within
the layer tab, moving the mouse over the tab will display the entire
name in a tooltip box.
