We have made improvements
to the way a surface is rebuilt when changing the U or V Degree or Spans in
the Control Panel.
This functionality is
also available from the Surface Edit > Rebuild
Surface tool when setting the Rebuild Type to Rebuild.
- Previously the surface was rebuilt in
both the U and V directions even when only a U or V setting was
modified. This could cause changes in an edge that you did not intend
to modify. Now, changing the U degree or number of spans will not
affect edges running in the V direction and vice-versa.
- Previously, the surface was rebuilt with
a uniform distribution of spans, regardless of the original distribution.
This could cause unwanted modifications in multi-span surfaces.
Now we maintain the original distribution of spans while creating additional
ones as needed.
