The usage statement for CaToAl is as follows:

| -h | displays help information, then exits |
| -b | displays a log file on screen during execution |
| -x | produces an extended log file |
| -i | name of input CAI file; must be specified |
| -o | output CAI filename; if not specified. stdout is used. |
