A scene is a collection of entities, 3D and other, that you work on at one time in 3ds Max. This can include mesh and procedural objects, helpers, character rigging, materials and maps, particle systems, space warps, animation controllers and animation keys, scripts, lights, cameras, and more; anything that you create, import, or modify when working in 3ds Max is a scene element. When you save or load a MAX file, you’re storing or restoring the scene. In a single 3ds Max session, only one scene can be open at a time.
