NTSC (National Television Standards Committee) is the name of the video standard used in North America, most of Central and South America, and Japan. The frame rate is 30 frames per second (fps) or 60 fields per second, with each field accounting for half the interleaved scan lines on a television screen. See Rendering Preferences.
