New and updated texture classes in FBX 2012 provide support for Substance procedural textures. These dynamic, resolution-independent textures have a tiny disk space footprint, and can be exported to certain games engines via the Substance Air middleware offering (available separately from Allegorithmic), or converted to bitmaps for rendering.
A library of 80 Substance textures is included with both Maya 2012 and 3ds Max 2012.
