Converts a NURBS surface object to a polygon mesh.
To apply: Select a NURBS surface object and choose from the Model toolbar.
To redisplay: Select the polygon mesh, click the button on the Select panel, then click the NURBS to Mesh icon.
Inputs
Hides all the inputs for the generated object to simplify the display of your scene in the 3D views, or unhides the inputs
when you need to modify them.
Freezes the generator and deletes the inputs. This simplifies the scene once you are satisfied that you won't need to modify
the inputs again.
Inputs' construction mode
Sets the connection point from which the operator reads to the top of the specified construction region of the input objects.
For example, if this is set to Modeling, the operator reads the geometry and other attributes from the top of the inputs'
Modeling region and ignores he effect of operators above it. If it is set to Secondary Shape (Result), it reads from the top
of the inputs' entire stack, taking all operators into account.
Controls the placement of the polygon mesh's vertices.
-
When this option is off, vertices are located at the knot positions and along the interpolated NURBS surface.
-
When this option is on, vertices are placed at the positions of the surface's control points. If you apply geometry approximation
to the resulting mesh to create a subdivision surface, it will approximate the original NURBS surface.
Ignores holes made by trim curves in the NURBS surface.
Step
The number of edges on the polygon mesh for each span between successive knots on the original surface.
Controls the accuracy around trims.
Stitch
Merges points on the generated polygon mesh if they are within the specified .
Maximum distance between points before they are merged together, in SOFTIMAGE units. This has no effect if is off.
