Insert Surface Knot Property Editor

 
 
 

Adds a knot curve to a surface.

To apply: Select an isoline on a surface, then choose Modify Surface Insert Knot from the Model toolbar.

To redisplay: Select the surface, click the Selection button on the Select panel, then click the Insert Surface Knot icon.

Knot Multiplicity

Specifies the continuity of the knot curve. For a cubic NURBS surface:

  • A multiplicity of 1 corresponds to C2 continuity (curvature).

  • A multiplicity of 2 corresponds to C1 continuity (tangency).

  • A multiplicity of 3 corresponds to C0 continuity (position).
