| Clean | Shape

Stitches a boundary of one surface to the boundary of another.

To apply: See Stitching Surfaces [Surface and Curve Modeling].

To redisplay: Select the stitched surface then choose Edit Properties Modeling Properties and click the Stitch Surfaces tab.

Clean

Tolerance

The allowable error for calculating the stitch.

Shape

Continuity

The continuity at the seam between the surfaces:

  • Position (C0). The seam may have a sharp point.

  • Tangent (C1). The tangent at the seam does not change abruptly.

  • Curvature (C2). Neither the tangent nor the curvature at the seam changes abruptly.

Seam

The location of the seam between the two surfaces:

  • First Surface. The seam is at the boundary of the first surface.

  • Second Surface. The seam is at the boundary of the second surface.

  • Average. The seam is midway between the surfaces.

  • Curve. The seam is at the curve you picked when you applied the command.

Modify Tangent

The surfaces whose tangents are adjusted to maintain the continuity. This option is not available if Continuity is Position (C0).

  • First Surface. Only the tangent of the first surface is modified.

  • Second Surface. Only the tangent of the second surface is modified.

  • Average. The tangents of both surfaces are modified.

Start, End Surface

These parameters affect the blending between the two surfaces.

Range

Affects the position where blending begins on the corresponding surface.

Tangent Scale Factor

Affects the extent of the influence of the surface on the blend.
