Neighboring Particles Force

This compound generates a force between neighboring particles that attracts them to each other when they get within a certain range, in a manner similar to the Coagulate force. However, there is no friction between the particles so they don't stay clumped together as with the Coagulate force — they keep moving.

Plug this compound's Force output into a Force port on the Add Forces compound.

For more information on the using forces in ICE, see ICE Forces [ICE Guide].

Tasks: Particles/Forces

Output Ports: Force

Cutoff Distance

The maximum distance (in Softimage units) to neighboring particles. Particles farther apart than this distance are not attracted to each other.

Attraction Strength

The strength of the force applied to a particle to attract it to nearby particles.

Strength over Distance Profile

This graph multiplies the strength of the force based on the distance to neighboring particles.

Display Debugging

Displays the force vectors between points.
