In the Keyboard Mapping editor, the Command box displays a two-column list of commands and their keyboard shortcuts for the editor or tool selected in the Group box. Not all commands have shortcuts assigned to them.
The keys in the keyboard diagram below are color-coded to indicate the following:
White: no command has been assigned to this key.
Beige: a command from another editor or tool has been assigned to this key.
Light Brown: a command from the currently selected editor or tool has been assigned to this key.
Red: this key corresponds to the currently selected item in the Command box.
Select a command in the Command box. The assigned keys are highlighted in red.
Do one of the following:
Click the key in the keyboard diagram. The command is highlighted in the Command box.
or
Hover the mouse pointer over the key in the keyboard diagram. The name of the command appears in a pop-up.
For combinations involving modifiers, select the appropriate Ctrl, Shift, and Alt boxes or press and hold those keys on your keyboard.
Select View and choose an editor from the adjacent list. Keys that are used by the selected editor are highlighted in dark brown.
