Sources are read-only files. They are used to create instances — or clips — only their name is editable and the original image
file is never affected.
To display: Set the scope of an explorer to , and click an icon in the Sources\Images folder.
General
All of the following parameters, with the exception of File Name and Frame Rate, are non-editable and displayed for reference.

Displays the explicit path to where the source file is saved. If is on, the path is displayed as you entered it. If is on, the resolved path is displayed. You can type a different path or use the (...) button to change locations. Valid names are displayed in white, invalid names are red, and read-only files are gray.

Displays the source's X and Y resolution.
|
|
Defines the frame rate at which the sequence of images is played. The default value is 29.97 fps.
|
|
Displays the total number of frames the source contains.
|
Info
|
Defines the source's name. This name can be edited without affecting the original image file.
|
|

Sequence Info
All of the following parameters, with the exception of Frame Rate, are non-editable and displayed for reference.

Plays back the frames at the scene's frame rate. Uncheck to enter a different frame rate below.

Defines the frame rate at which the sequence of images is played. To set this value, uncheck .
|
|
Displays the total number of frames the source contains.
|
|
Identifies the first and last frames in the sequence.
|
Source Info
All of the following parameters are non-editable and displayed for reference.

Displays the frame rate specified in the source.
|

Displays the source's X and Y resolution.
|
|
Displays the number of channels the source file contains.
|
|
Displays the bit format of the source.
|
|
Displays the ratio of pixel width to height in the source. Square pixels have a ratio of 1.0.
|
Clip Color
Sets the color of all clips in the animation mixer that are instantiated (created) from this image source - see Manipulating Image Clips in the Animation Mixer.
Click the color chip and select a color from the color editor, or drag the color sliders to select a color.
NoteTo share a clip color between sources, drag the color chip from one source property page and drop it on a color chip in another
source property page.

Video
All of the following parameters are non-editable and displayed for reference.

Specifies whether the image source is stored in a movie format such as .avi or Quicktime.

Displays the number of layers or tracks in the clip. When you create clips from sources with multiple layers or tracks, a clip is created for each layer or track. All of the created
clips share the single source.

When the source is a video sequence, this parameter displays information about its field order. One of the following will
